Our company has many years of experience working on electric motors. We started in 1936 and were called Southern Electric Company. The company worked on motors of all sorts including the Memphis Bell (we still have the plaques for it). In 1986, Clyde Green  became the youngest to work for them having just left the navy, where he had worked on carrier ship engines and motors. In 1991, the original owner passed away and all the others agreed Clyde should take over the company due to his natural talent.

 

In 1992, Clyde moved the company and changed the name to Green Electric Motor Works. He kept it as a small family run shop with only his wife and two kids to help, and that's how it remained for almost 25 years. In 2014, his daughter took over the business for him and runs it the same way with the same drive and ideas in mind. That is to help the customer with their electric motor needs
